A Brief History

Bentong Golf Club started humbly in the late sixties with 3 make-do holes at the present site. The then District Officer and a small group of local golf enthusiasts together with the JKR engineers put in tremendous effort to extent it to a nine hole course in the following years. A Club House was built about 1975 and it remains till today. It was officially open by HRH Sultan of Pahang in June 20, 1975.

Today the club has 400 members, mainly males. A golfer can lug his bag; pull a trolley or engage a turfmate to play. A nine hole course with 18 tee boxes for men and women, visitors may find it challenging because of the not- so - expansive fairways turfed with the hardy exonopus compressus and lined with trees with extensive branches.
